Zaralyn's Spa Party

I wanted to throw Zaralyn a birthday party, but knowing that I would be 36 weeks pregnant, I figured I had better make it as easy as possible on myself. The salon that I get my hair done at had these cute birthday party packages and I loved the idea. So did Zaralyn!

For Food we made Fruit Kabobs and Fruit dip, a veggie tray with dip, crackers, apples, and bite size sandwiches (they were hearts, stars and flowers- so cute! Thanks for your help with the bread Jutta!) Then I set out a few bowls of candy. I wasn't going for a full meal since the party was at 3pm, I just wanted things for people to snack on while they were there. My friend and amazing baker, Sarah, of Sarah's Specialty Sweets made the cupcakes (thanks Sarah!).

I saw an easy tutorial on how to make a pendant banner, so I whipped one up so that I would have a little bit of decoration for her party.

These water bottle labels were so easy to put on and it made the waters look so cute! I just printed them on sticker paper, cut them apart and put them on the bottles.

One seriously amazing woman that I consider my sister and bestie, Sarah, made the cake and it was awesome! She is such a talented baker. and sculpted the little girl to look like Zaralyn out of fondant.

When all the girls arrived, the salon put their names on a list and started doing hair and nails. I was worried that the girls would be bored waiting their turn to get all dolled up, but they were great. The girls were all so excited! The girls patiently waited their turn and snacked on treats while they waited. The stylists said that these little girls were better behaved than some parties that they had done with twelve year olds. :) Since Lynee was the birthday girl, she was up first.

I grabbed a few snapshots of some of the girls getting their hair and nails done. I didn't catch them all, but they were all so cute and having so much fun!

Sadie was sooo cute! She is Lila's little sister. She isn't quite two yet and she is such a cute little girl!

Bry picked yellow/gold sparkle nails and was so excited about them.

Lynee took one look at Bry's nails and wanted the same color.

After all the girls were finished, we gathered the girls for a group picture. That is a lot of little girls. I didn't realize that we knew so many girls so close in age. We have met these cute girls from Primary, Gymnastics, Dance, and our neighbors. Quite a few of the girls are sisters.

We ate cake and Ice cream, and we were finished. I got rave reviews from all in attendance. Everywhere the girls see their friends, they are showing us how much of the glitter is left on their nails. The mom's are saying that the girls have been talking about wanting spa parties too, and a few mom's have even had to do repeat hair styles (so sorry!). I think the only complaint was from the mom's who were wanting to be getting their nails done too, lol. I was just glad that it was pretty easy to pull together. We have made some really amazing friends here in Pennsylvania! Thank you to all of them for helping us celebrate Zaralyn's birthday! We had so much fun!
